Ed Skaff
Owner

Edward Skaff’s interest in retail business began early when he worked in his father’s grocery store in the San Luis Valley of southern Colorado. He opened his first store in 1962 in Evergreen, Colorado. The pharmacy career brought him satisfaction and joy for 44 years. Then he became very frustrated due to the burdensome managed-care regulations, third-party prescriptions and shrinking profit margins. Consequently, he sold the prescription files to Safeway and decided to open a State-of-the-Art Liquor Store during 2005. Edward Skaff enjoys going to the RTDA’s Annual Convention and International Trade Show which is the largest Tobacco Trade Show staged anywhere in the world. Greg Thomas
Manager

Greg Thomas has been an outstanding employee of Evergreen Drug Company and Evergreen Liquors since 1982. During 1986 Greg Thomas was promoted to the Manager and Principal Buyer for our liquor department. His passion for wines is to pursue continued education and visit wineries in the world. He has traveled to wineries in France, Italy, California and Colorado to further his knowledge about the wine industry. To his credit he was selected by the Governor of Colorado to become the Secretary of the Colorado Wine Industry Development Board and served on this board for five years. Observing the marketing of Colorado Wines in the Western Slope area was very motivating for Greg. Greg Thomas is held in high regard for his achievement of knowledge in the wine field by many Wine Aficionados. Greg will be pleased to assist you with choosing the best bottle of wine for your special occasion. Julia Moore
Beer Manager

Julia Moore started working part time for Evergreen Drug Company in 1999 when she was attending Metropolitan State College. She acquired her degree in Park and Recreation Management and Business Management in 2002. In 2003 she was promoted to become the beer buyer and manager for Evergreen Discount Liquors. Julia keeps current with the new releases of beer and their ratings by visiting breweries and beer festivals and reading the beer advocate. Ask Julia if you desire a beer that we don’t stock. She can also special order over 50 different types of keg beers for your party. Maryann Wambold
Accounting Manager

Maryann Wambold moved to Evergreen in 1989. She knew from the first time she shopped at Evergreen Drug Company that it was the place she would like to work. She started working in 1990 as a cashier and shortly thereafter advanced to becoming a department head and buyer for the toy and sporting goods department. She traveled to several trade shows throughout the United States shopping for the latest and greatest toys for the holidays. During 1997 Maryann also started working in the bookkeeping office. Maryann was advanced to the office manager and comptroller with the opening of the newly remodeled Evergreen Discount Liquors. This past year Maryann took a class studying Colorado alcohol laws and responsibilities in order to become certified so she could pour at our weekly BEER AND WINE TASTINGS. Often you will see Maryann on the sales floor stocking shelves to stay informed with the large selection of wine, beer, and spirits that are carried at Evergreen Discount Liquors.
