About Us
Evergreen Drug Company was an important institution in the history of Evergreen. It was purchased by Edward Skaff when it was still in its Main Street location (presently occupied by The Little Bear). From 1963 to 1974 the store was relocated in the Hiwan Village Shopping Center, next to Safeway and the Post Office. Evergreen Drug Company moved with Safeway to their present location in 1974. Edward Skaff’s goal was to make Evergreen Drug Company “The Best Store of its Kind.” He stocked the store with every kind of merchandise, including many items that the customer desired or suggested, making it a fun, unique place to shop. Greg Thomas is the current owner and his goals have not changed even though the liquor store has been enlarged. You will be pleased to see the large selection of wine, beer and spirits from around the world.

Greg Thomas has been a staff member since 1982 and is now the owner of Evergreen Liquors. During 1986 Greg Thomas was promoted to the Manager and Principal Buyer for our liquor department. His passion for wines is to pursue continued education and visit wineries in the world. He has traveled to wineries in France, Italy, California and Colorado to further his knowledge about the wine industry. To his credit he was selected by the Governor of Colorado to become the Secretary of the Colorado Wine Industry Development Board and served on this board for five years. Observing the marketing of Colorado Wines in the Western Slope area was very motivating for Greg. Greg Thomas is held in high regard for his achievement of knowledge in the wine field by many Wine Aficionados. Greg will be pleased to assist you with choosing the best bottle of wine for your special occasion. Julia Moore

Julia Moore started working part time for Evergreen Drug Company in 1999 when she was attending Metropolitan State College. She acquired her degree in Park and Recreation Management and Business Management in 2002. In 2003 she was promoted to become the beer buyer and manager for Evergreen Discount Liquors. Julia keeps current with the new releases of beer and their ratings by visiting breweries and beer festivals and reading the beer advocate. Ask Julia if you desire a beer that we don’t stock. She can also special order over 50 different types of keg beers for your party.
