Economy Pet Sitting Fee Schedule (per half hour)

This service is strictly for pets, we will not have time to water plants, pick up packages and mail like the premium (one hour) pet service.

INTAKE INTERVIEW

New Clients

The sitter will meet at the client’s home, and will take all necessary forms. The forms must be fully completed at the interview. Client provides two sets of house keys, pet photos, vaccination records, and detailed written instructions.

Payment in full on all services is expected at the time of your Intake Interview. A one-time fee of $15.00 is also charged for new client sign-ups.

Returning Client

We make sure that all information on file is current, and note additional pertinent information or special instructions when scheduling each new booking. Payment in full on all services is expected at the time of your booking. You may also choose to schedule a meeting with your assigned sitter, through the office, at the charge of $7.50 per meeting.

Fees will be adjusted for more than the above mentioned number of pets; this applies also to House Sitting and B&B assignments. Please call the office 303-567-4945.

Kinder-Pup Club (KPC) Fee Schedule (mid-day dog walking only)

NOTE: KPC rates represent a savings off our deluxe pet sitting rates.

KPC observes the standard pet sitting policies with the following payment modifications:
Payment to be made at time of Intake Interview. Credit for cancellations within 24 hours for days which have been pre-paid will be reflected on the following month’s invoice. This is also applicable for extra pet sitting visits. Additional service as requested or weekend visits are billed at our deluxe pet sitting fee.

We request a 24 hour advance cancellation notice, but will accept cancellations prior to 8:00 am on the scheduled service date. NOTE: You will be billed at the regular KPC rate for cancellations made after 8:00 am on the scheduled service date. Less than three visits will be billed at our deluxe pet sitting schedule.

Pet Sitter Gratuities are always appreciated. Please put your generous gift in a sealed envelope addressed with either your sitter’s name or “pet sitter.”

Inclement Weather Policy is important to observe. If you need a copy, please call the office.
We request a minimum 24-hour advance cancellation notice.

House Sitting/Bed & Breakfast

House sitting allows your pet(s) to be cared for overnight in your home. Bed & Breakfast provides care for your pet(s) in the home of a Sitter. The rate is 4x a day fee, based on the number of pets in the home. These are not based on 24 solid hours of care. For additional information see disclosure statements. More than 8 pets per household and/or tailored assignments will require the owner/manager and the pet owner to agree on appropriate fee, policies and procedures. Beyond 2 days there is a 20% discount for Bed & Breakfast and House Sitting. 

House Sitting Services

House Sitting services are charged based on 4 visits a day as well as a sleep over. Visits are assumed to take place at 9am, noon, 3pm, 6pm, and 9pm. Therefore, starting and ending times are very important to proper pricing of services. Please call 2 days prior to the assignment beginning to insure proper pricing and ask for clarification if there are any questions.

Example:
Starting of House Sitting at 6 pm on 9/1 and ending at noon on 9/3 would be charged as 2 full days of House Sitting. All visits for the day of 9/2 as well as combining two visits on 9/1 and two visits on 9/3.

Starting house sitting at noon on 9/1 and ending at noon on 9/3 would be charged as 2 full days as well as two visits of pet sitting. All visits for the day of 9/2 as well as 4 visits on 9/1 (noon, 3 pm, 6 pm, and 9 pm), amounting to another full day. 9/3 would be charged as 2 visits of pet sitting (9 am and noon).

Key Pick-up or Return

Charge of $7.50 if you want the sitter to pick-up or return your keys in person. Charge of $2.00 - $4.00 if you want us to mail your keys (U.S. mail service charge).

Pet Transportation

Pick up and delivery to and from your home to the veterinarian, groomer, kennel, etc.
Minimum fee $25.00 plus .55/mile. Hourly fee $25.00.

Administering Medications

Call the office for your specific needs and fees.

METHODS OF PAYMENT

We accept all major credit cards, PayPal and personal checks made payable to Fur, Fins, & Feathers, LLC. Mailed checks must arrive at our offices prior to the scheduled service date(s) as your account will be credited only when the office receives your payment and the check has cleared.

Returned Checks

There is a $25.00 fee for a returned check plus transportation fees to and from office to bank to clear this matter at our customary pet transportation fee of $25 and $0.55 per mile charges.

Overdue Payments

All delinquent payments over 30 days will be charged a 1.5% finance charge. Payments delinquent 60 or more days will incur administrative costs of $35.00 per hour and/or attorney fees in addition to the bill.

Declined Credit Cards

You will receive a call and an invoice with the expectation of full payment in five days, then regretably turned over to collections. To avoid this please call the office at 303-567-4945.

Holiday Bookings and Cancellations

Holiday reservations and cancellations should be made well in advance (~ one month). An early reservation will help insure that your favorite pet sitter is available, especially for Thanksgiving, Christmas, Hanukkah, New Year’s and throughout the Summer. Cancellations for the above periods are accepted one week prior to the starting date with no charge, after that (no exceptions!), you are charged 20% of the bill if cancelled under 24 hours of commencing the assignment.

Inclement weather policy (Safety comes first !!!!!!)

SAFETY is our biggest concern both Winter and Summer. Pet sitters will be looking out for heat exhaustion and dehydration during the Summer days. Winter, please note that safety on the roads is indeed our concern for all. Please be advised that your sitter may arrive later than normally scheduled times.

♥ We will give priority to pets whose owners are out of town.♥

♥ You can insure that your pet(s) is prepared for any delay by supplying extra food and water, and leaving newspapers or paper towels on the floor. Please leave your pet in a safe and easy to clean area (ie: laundry room) NON-CARPETED OR WOOD FLOORS. We are not responsible for damage done by your emotionally stressed pet(s).

♥ You can call the office 303-567-4945 or email us at mirian@furfinsandfeathers.org to leave any additional special instructions for the pet sitter along with a contact number including a next-door neighbor willing to help under these special conditions.

♥ Please provide appropriate materials to dry off your pet under inclement weather conditions. Immediately accessible at the entrance of your home or specific area where we normally enter.

KPC CLIENTEL ONLY

Snow policy

♥ On days when the weather is severe enough to merit school closings, service is NOT guaranteed, although every effort will be safely made to reach your home.

♥ If you can’t get to work, chances are we can’t get to you!!!

♥ If the local government is closed for the day ALL KPC visits are cancelled for the day, therefore, to prevent an unnecessarily dangerous trip by your sitter, as well as your unnecessary payment, PLEASE FOLLOW THIS SIMPLE CANCELLATION POLICY.

♥ Call 303-567-4945 no later than 8a.m. the day of the Inclement Weather, which keeps you home. (We prefer 24hr. notice) You can also fax us 800-242-3585.

♥ If you do not call to cancel the service, you will owe the cost of the KPC visit. Refer to the fee schedule. Be sure you too, take special care when traveling in bad weather.
